David Blackstone for over thirty years has been engaged in the private practice of criminal defense litigation in New York City and has tried to conclusion over 45 murder cases. He is a senior member of the 18B New York County Homicide Panel and is a New York State Deputy Capital Defender. He was graduated from Columbia Law School with a JD in 1963 and received his BS degree, cum laude from New York University in 1960. In 1964 he was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps. He is admitted to the New York State Bar, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is AV rated in Martindale Hubble Law Directory.
Mr. Blackstone is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New York County Lawyers’ Association, the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and the Federal Bar Council.
He is married with two adult sons.
Legal Assistant Lynn Terreri joined the office full time in 2006. Following a career in the philanthropic administration field, Ms. Terreri concentrates these skills on assisting David Blackstone’s efforts in guarding the rights of the accused.
Ms. Terreri received a BA degree from Trinity College (now Trinity University) in Washington, D.C., and did supplemental study at Cornell School of Industrial and Labor Relations and Marymount Manhattan College.
